Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, a graduate of Ecole Mondiale World School with a background in dance and acting, is stepping into the film industry. Before her debut as an actress, she worked as an Assistant Director on 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,' starring her cousin Janhvi Kapoor. In a recent interview, Shanaya shared her traditional romantic values, despite being a member of Gen-Z.
When asked about her romantic inclinations, Shanaya told Bollywood Bubbles that she identifies as an old-school romantic. She observed that her generation tends to be detached and quick to move on, a trend she is aware of and sees in her friends. While acknowledging that everyone has their own approach to relationships, she considers herself a traditionalist when it comes to love.
Shanaya emphasized her preference for long-term relationships. She is not someone who moves on quickly or jumps from one relationship to another. She seeks a partner who feels like "home," offering comfort and a sense of belonging.
Shanaya highlighted the unique challenges faced by artists, whose work is more than just a job; it's a passion that permeates their lives. The constant embodiment of different characters often leads to blurring the lines between work and personal life. Therefore, finding a partner who can bring balance and stability is crucial for her. She embraces her old-school approach in this aspect of her life as well.
Shanaya Kapoor is set to make her Bollywood debut alongside Vikrant Massey in the romantic drama 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'. Directed by Santosh Singh, the film is scheduled for release on July 11. Additionally, she will star in 'Tu Yaa Main', a survival thriller directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Aanand L Rai, opposite Adarsh Gourav, slated for release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
